Ghana set to premiere one of the greatest Christian movies ever produced in the country.

Ghana’s film industry has been growing in recent years, and now, it’s set to premiere one of the greatest Christian movies ever produced in the country; “A Taste of Sin”.  The movie is a testament to the creativity and passion of Ghanaian filmmakers, as well as their commitment to telling stories that inspire and uplift audiences.

“A Taste of Sin” – a Dominion TV production in collaboration with Sami’s Media, is an enthralling story that explores the power of faith, forgiveness and hope through the lives of two pastors intertwine- one tempted by a shortcut to success, and the other facing unimaginable trials in his marriage. As they navigate these challenges, they grapple with fidelity, temptation, and their own beliefs. The movie stars some of Ghana’s star-studded award-winning cast; Jackie Appiah, Majid Michel, James Gardiner, Abena Akuaba, and a debut cameo appearance by Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams. The production values are top-notch, with beautiful cinematography, stunning visuals, and a moving musical score that perfectly captures the emotions of the story. 

The producer of the movie, Samira Yakubu, emphasized during its media launch of the movie that the movie is not just for Christians as many would perceive. It tackles weighty moral questions that cut across every ordinary person’s life. “A Taste of Sin” is the first movie to be produced for Cinema by a TV network, and Dominion TV has taken the lead in doing this. Nosisa Doe, General Manager of Dominion TV mentioned that the station will continue to produce transformative content that inspires and empowers viewers. She added that Dominion TV will continue to work closely with local film makers to produce more movies in the future.

The premiere of “A Taste of Sin” will take place at Silverbird Cinemas on Good Friday the 7th of April 2023 at 7 pm and 9 pm in Accra, Ghana (Westhills Mall and Accra Mall). The movie will also premiere in Kumasi on the 8th of April at 6 pm and 8 pm at the Golden Eagle Cinema, Kumasi. Tickets are 100 GHS in Accra and 65 GHS in Kumasi.
